[gwenview] [Bug 461613] New: Regression: Gwenview no longer displays CR2 thumbnails or images (while Dolphin and Okular do)

2022-11-08 Thread Alexander Wessel
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=461613

Bug ID: 461613
Summary: Regression: Gwenview no longer displays CR2 thumbnails
or images (while Dolphin and Okular do)
Classification: Applications
   Product: gwenview
   Version: 22.08.3
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: gwenview-bugs-n...@kde.org
  Reporter: fl...@chello.at
  Target Milestone: ---

Screenshot of the thumbnail view

It appears that since 22.08.3, gwenview can no longer display CR2 images (Canon
Raw). Dolphin and Okular do fine with the same images. This occured after a
recent world update (which I do several times a week) of my Gentoo box, which
pulled in Plasma 5.26.2 and KDE 22.08.3 (with kde-frameworks 5.99.0).

When I open a directory containing CR2's, gwenview prints
org.kde.kdegraphics.gwenview.lib: Could not generate thumbnail for file
"..."
for each file in the directory, and the thumbnails come in as "no entry traffic
sign" icons. A subsequent clock does enter the image viewer, but the screen
just shows the red "loading" box, with no output on the console. See the
attached screenshots. Apparently there is no --verbose option, so there really
is no info as to what really caused the failure.

A simple rebuild of gwenview didn't work. I'll try a full rebuild of all
dependencies next, for good measure.

[kturtle] [Bug 404162] File/Save acts always acts like "Save as..."

2019-02-09 Thread Alexander Wessel
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=404162

I just realized that this happens only to *new* scripts, not to scripts that
have been opened before via "File/Open" or the Open... button.

So to reproduce:

1. File/New
2. File/Save - Dialog appears, save the file.
3. File/Save - Dialog appears again.

[kturtle] [Bug 404162] New: File/Save acts always acts like "Save as..."

Bug ID: 404162
Summary: File/Save acts always acts like "Save as..."
   Product: kturtle
   Version: unspecified

File/Save acts always acts like "Save as..."

When saving an existing script, File/Save should automatically overwrite the
existing file, but it always acts like File/Save As... The file requester
dialog appears and overwriting the existing script must be confirmed always.

The existing script should simply be overwritten when using CTRL+S (File/Save).

This is likely similar to bug 156322 and bug 156328.

Version 0.8.1 beta on Linux 4.20.3-gentoo, compiled from the Gentoo
kapps-turtle-18.12.1(5)(03:16:11 01/25/19) ebuild.
