For example, on my Ryzen 5800H, glmark2-wayland got only 1503 scores on KWin but got 10901 scores on Sway, and vkmark got 1231 scores on KWin but 11759 scores on Sway. I also have the same problem with Nouveau/NVK. My friends reproduced this problem with the Ryzen 4800HS and Nvidia RTX 4050 Mobile. People may want to use FIDO/PIV to unlock wallets so they needn't input a password after logging in by using FIDO/PIV, and can use a password if the security key is unavailable. LUKS also faces this problem, so they designed a mechanism: no longer use passwords directly, a LUKS has multiple key slots, and any key of slots can unlock LUKS. So with additional work like systemd-cryptenroll, the FIDO device can generate a strong key as a new key slot. So people can use both passwords and FIDO/PIV to unlock LUKS. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. upgrade to 5.27 2. open steam 3. look OBSERVED RESULT steam (run in XWayland) rendered in the wrong scale except for window size.
