[dolphin] [Bug 395754] New: Keyboard operation for unfolding folders

2018-06-22 Thread Christian Treczoks
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=395754

Bug ID: 395754
Summary: Keyboard operation for unfolding folders
   Product: dolphin
   Version: 17.04.3
  Platform: Ubuntu Packages
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: wishlist
  Priority: NOR
 Component: view-engine: details mode
  Assignee: dolphin-bugs-n...@kde.org
  Reporter: christ...@treczoks.net
  Target Milestone: ---

When I view a directory tree in Details mode, there seems to be no key to
unfold/fold a directory (or whatever the operation is called when I click on
the triangle left of a directory).

I can do so many things in dolphin with keyboard shortcuts, but so far this one
eludes me.

[Discover] [Bug 380205] More details during system update

2017-06-23 Thread Christian Treczoks

--- Comment #2 from Christian Treczoks <christ...@treczoks.net> ---
Could you please add in which Version this has been fixed? KUbuntu is still
using discover 5.6.2 at the moment.

And I've got an additional request - would it be possible to show change notes
for the packages that will be/are being updated? A perfect hit would it be if
discover would look at the currently installed version and the to-be-installed
version of a program, and show all change notes, even if this update skipped
one or more versions. These change notes would be nice to have a) before
starting the upgrade and b) as a pastime while the upgrade is running. A "go
back further" button on a programs' change history would be nice, too.

[Discover] [Bug 380205] New: More details during system update

2017-05-25 Thread Christian Treczoks
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=380205

Bug ID: 380205
Summary: More details during system update
   Product: Discover
   Version: 5.6.2
  Platform: Mint (Ubuntu based)
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: wishlist
  Priority: NOR
 Component: discover
  Assignee: aleix...@kde.org
  Reporter: christ...@treczoks.net
  Target Milestone: ---

I just had Discover updating 33 items. While I can see what they are, as soon
as I press "update", all I get is a simple (and stupid) progress bar. No
information on which part it is currently updating, if it is downloading or
unpacking, and, most important, no indication of how long this might take. I am
well aware that the last part is the hardest, but even a calculation of "X of Y
packets have been downloaded with A_X of A_Y bytes of download, so a rough
guesstimate of remaining time is:" should be possible.

If you don't want to confuse normal users with too much information (which I
don't expect on a Linux system, but well), add a "show/hide details" button, if
you wish.

When I have to drive on autopilot, at least let me see where I am heading!
