New behaviour since upgrading Kubuntu 18.04.4 LTS to 20.02.1 LTS. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Open Thunderbird (v.68.10.0 as in current repos) and set Okular as handler for PDF attachments. 2. Select a message with a PDF attachment to preview it in the preview pane 3. Any change in the "Rectangular Region" settings in the program preferences does not fix the problem. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Setup Spectacle as above 2. Click, hold and start dragging 3. Release the click OBSERVED RESULT Mouse cursor correctly changes shape to a "+" while dragging. No area is visibly highlighted. On release, the mouse cursor changes shape to an open hand where the captured region should be, to corner drag pointer where the upper left / lower right corner of the selection should be, to a closed fist when clicking inside where the selection should be to drag it. Captured area is successfully available in the program after double click / "Enter" keypress. EXPECTED RESULT As above, but with visible highlighted area. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS KDE Plasma Version: 5.12.9 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.47.0 Qt Version: 5.9.5 Kernel Version: 5.3.0-42-generic ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Triple screen setup, two 24" on 2x DVI from PCI Express nVidia card, third screeen on VGA from onboard port on Intel 6 Series / C200 chipset. On fully up to date Kubuntu 18.40 LTS with backports repo enabled, nouveau drivers for the NnVidia card, i915 for the onboard Intel chipset. Compositor enabled on OpenGL 3.1 with the inbuilt helper for KSnapshot *disabled* to avoid conflicts.
