you would have been getting this warning before, just maybe silently working.

Because you're running xfce's notification viewer and only one app can show
notifications.

There is an alternate way to get to the desktop settings, by clicking on the
toolbox (the button with 3 horizonal lines) in the corner of the desktop.

 If you've disabled both the toolbox and the context menu, then you'll just
have to delete your ~/.config/plasma-org.kde.plasma.desktop-appletsrc

One can drag icons into another Plasma panel to create a new launcher.

Fix crash in application shutdown (alternate fix)

Summary:

We have a SourceModel that inherits from AbastractModel
AbastractModel inherits from both QObject and Ref.

When we call the destructor of Ref, that kills the
Pulseaudio::context that emits that the default source has changed
during it's teardown.

Because the QObject destructor hasn't run yet, our signals are still
attached; however they refer to data from SourceModel which we've
already run the destructor on - hence crash.

This patch does the ref counting in an alternate way, destroying
the PA Context after our model has disconnected all the
signals, like it would be if the context was a child of the model.

Test Plan:
ran  kquitapp5 plasmashell a lot, everything still seems fine.

I couldn't recreate the original crash, it requires
multiple outputs being deleted in the wrong order, which I
don't happen to have.

Part of that will simply be that Xorg is maxed out doing literally millions of
operations in a test.
The other part will be that a window map/move will update the pager and
taskbar. Fine in normal use, but with x11perf, we're going to be getting
millions more than normal, that could mean we're still processing them long
after the test finishes. It's not really worth us optimising a fake case, but
obviously any performance improvements are good.

Count only applications in memory usage

This restores the behavior of the widget to match the original C++
version. Buffers and cached do not really contribute to memory usage,
because file system cache gets dropped, if applications need more
memory. See MemFree vs. MemAvailable in /proc/cpuinfo.

I had a look, there's a different QML type for dispaying animated images:
AnimatedImage. 

Following the tutorial here,
https://www.kubuntuforums.net/showthread.php?67703-Kubuntu-video-wallpaper it
would be easy enough to add as a wallpaper type.

However, this is the sort of feature that belongs in a different wallpaper
plugin on store.kde.org, not in core Plasma.

Fix dangling pointer in KPackageJob

A KPackage::Package object uses qexplicitlyshareddata, and it designed
to be kept on the stack and copied. However, PackageJob takes a pointer
to a package, which it later updates, which is expected to exist for the
lifecycle of the job.

This means

Package p = PackageLoader::self()->loadPackage(..);
p.install();

will crash.

Given that, I don't think this is an application error, and but a
library bug.

Both plasmashell installation and uninstallation have this problem:

As Package is not a QObject we can't just use a QWeakPointer, and
we can't just copy the Package in the packagejob as we need to detatch
and update the \*original\* KPackage instance. Also to match behaviour
we need to do this without changing any other
KPackage instances sharing the same shareddata.

Not a neat fix at all, but there aren't many options that work
without breaking API or behaviour.

Thanks, but I've replaced it to use the icons we have in user accounts, that
has even less problems then as the source is obvious.

Also I've cleared up the test data supplied, the idea of the test data is to be
deliberately "broken". There's someone with a name that elides, and someone
without a real name set. If we're gonna fix it we may as well do it neatly too.
