New crash information added by DrKonqi

akonadi_ical_resource (5.14.2 (20.04.2)) using Qt 5.12.7

- What I was doing when the application crashed: I started openSUSE LEAP15.3.
The error screen comes up at same time as the log in request for password for
KWallet. The Kwallet password request being in front of the error report.
This is consistent. I have tried reloading K PIM but it does not cure fault. I
do not want to complely restore openSUSE to cure problem.

To get XFCE you select 'custom' and select XFCE
OR you select say KDE , wait until it shows table of changes then click
software to be installed and change and you get a full menu to download
any type of software, again click XFCE

openSUSE removed XFCE as a main option in Leap 15 upgrade, it needs to
be selected manually.

2019 July 2 at 11.25 UK time. On DrKong note report comment 19. Noting this
'runs as root'; I opened Leap15.1 as XFCE and user root. Two things happened.
It tried to create anew file, ok, i filled in al pats as if to create a new
current account basis set. The application crashed, at point of 'saving or
'finishing' and gave an error report. I was unable to get error report except
it was a simple one line message. Repeated tries got the same result. I tried
to save file in /home/root/documents in a new folder, to open it the KMyMoney
closed immediately after tip screen seen with short error report with correct
extension.
I regret, I am somewhat well out of my depth as i am a user not a competent
Linux CLI user. This is first time in about 15 years I have opened a system as
'root' so I am very unknowledgeable about this side of things. Sorry i cannot
give more information. I have changed back to user to give this report. I
confirm it does work in KDE on use yesterday in a KDE Plasma desktop.
Regards and thanks for your work on this. Eion MacDonald

Does running the AppImage also crash on XFCE and Leap 15.1 for you? The
AppImage can be found here:

  https://binary-factory.kde.org/job/KMyMoney_Stable_Appimage_Build/

I learned how to make an Appimage executable and run.
The Appimage
"https://binary-factory.kde.org/job/KMyMoney_Stable_Appimage_Build/;

This opened my KMyMoney file and a transaction was possible in XFCE openSUSE
LEAP15.
I trust this helps analysis

Thanks for your work, we appear to be progressing. I assume that an update will
appear in the repositories?

In openSUSE LEAP 15.1 updated to today running XFCE.
When running from terminal in XFCE, it gives error message as below: quoted
from terminal output.
Error data in last few lines, but mean nothing to me. (Not a programmer , just
a thankful user.

View of date column width JPG

I have used KMyMoney on Windows 10 and on OpenSUSE Linux. In both set ups the
date column in ledgers is too narrow. It shows e.g. 23/06/2 instead of
23/06/2017. How to widen the date column in all ledgers?
