[dolphin] [Bug 462986] New: Regression in clipboard handling, dolphin sometimes resets the clipboard or doesn't set it properly

2022-12-12 Thread Fabian Maurer
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=462986

Bug ID: 462986
Summary: Regression in clipboard handling, dolphin sometimes
resets the clipboard or doesn't set it properly
Classification: Applications
   Product: dolphin
   Version: 22.12.0
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: major
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: dolphin-bugs-n...@kde.org
  Reporter: dark.shad...@web.de
CC: kfm-de...@kde.org
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY
***
Since 22.12 Dolphin sometimes messes with the clipboard in unpredictable ways.
I'm not hundred percent sure how exactly to reproduce, but when copying/cutting
files often the clipboard is different from what I expect.
Example: I copy a file, and when I use paste it pastes a completely different
file.
***

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Close all Dolphin instances
2. Open Dolphin
3. Copy file (Ctrl-C)
4. Paste clipboard into notepad (or similar)
5. Close dolphin
6. Paste clipboard into notepad again

You might need to repeat that 2 times with different files

OBSERVED RESULT
Different results from the clipboard

EXPECTED RESULT
Clipboard should be the same, not get modified on closing of dolpin

STEPS TO REPRODUCE 2 (doesn't always work)
1. Open Dolphin
2. Copy file (CTRL-C)
3. Paste clipboard into notepad

The copied file is often a wrong one

[dolphin] [Bug 462985] New: Add configuration for default button in file deletion dialog

2022-12-12 Thread Fabian Maurer
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=462985

Bug ID: 462985
Summary: Add configuration for default button in file deletion
dialog
Classification: Applications
   Product: dolphin
   Version: 22.12.0
  Platform: Archlinux
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: wishlist
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: dolphin-bugs-n...@kde.org
  Reporter: dark.shad...@web.de
CC: kfm-de...@kde.org
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY
***
When pressing Shift-Del, the default action is now "Cancel" instead of "Delete
Permanently"
This is a new change in 22.12.x.
While this is arguably a useful change, I'd love to be able to revert to the
old behavior of just pressing enter to delete. Could we have a config to have
the "Delete" option to be preselected?

[kmail2] [Bug 391310] New: Kmail doesn't display email bodies when using qt5.11

  Platform: Archlinux Packages
OS: Linux

When using the Archlinux kde-unstable packages, kmail doesn't show the email
bodies, it displays them completely blank. Downgrading qt5 to 5.10.1 fixes the
issue.
I suspect it's an issue with qt5-webengine, but I'm not sure.

Additional info:
* kmail 17.12.2-1 ("kmail --version" shows "kmail2 5.7.2")
* qt5-webengine 5.11.0beta1-1

When clicking an email the terminal shows the following:

[kmail2] [Bug 384112] New: Kmail crashes when logging out of plasma

  Platform: Archlinux Packages
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal

  Assignee: kdepim-b...@kde.org
  Reporter: dark.shad...@web.de
  Target Milestone: ---

Running latest kmail (5.6.0) with plasma 5.10.5 on ArchLinux.
Every time I log out of plasma while kmail is running, it crashes. It blocks
the logout process until the crash windows gets force closed after a few
seconds. Happens in 100% of all cases.

It's kind a hard to debug, because the crash window gets killed automatically
after a few seconds. If you know of a way to get the crash report nevertheless,
please tell me. I can't even copy paste out of it, because I can't paste it
anywhere.

Expanded the folder with the little arrow in the top left, then tried to delete
a textfile inside the trashcan. Crashes every time.

[plasmashell] [Bug 375208] New: Startmenu search sometimes doesn't show all desktop files

2017-01-17 Thread Fabian Maurer
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=375208

Bug ID: 375208
Summary: Startmenu search sometimes doesn't show all desktop
files
   Product: plasmashell
   Version: 5.8.95
  Platform: Archlinux Packages
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: k...@davidedmundson.co.uk
  Reporter: dark.shad...@web.de
CC: bhus...@gmail.com, plasma-b...@kde.org
  Target Milestone: 1.0

This is an regression, since it used to work with earlier versions.
I'm using the "Application Menu" startmenu, and when searching for "Amarok" it
sometimes doesn't show up. When manually searching the startmenu, it's listed
under "Multimedia" though.
Things like reinstalling Amarok with "pacman -S amarok" or editing the
applications in the startmenu most of the time help - at least until the next
logout.

The problem is that is mostly random, I have no idea how to trigger the bug.
Also, I only saw it happening with Amarok since I search for that the most
often.
Ideas to help me testing?

[kwin] [Bug 375100] New: MinimizeAll script triggers on topper screenedge without ways to disable it

2017-01-15 Thread Fabian Maurer
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=375100

Bug ID: 375100
Summary: MinimizeAll script triggers on topper screenedge
without ways to disable it
   Product: kwin
   Version: 5.8.95
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: scripts
  Assignee: kwin-bugs-n...@kde.org
  Reporter: dark.shad...@web.de
  Target Milestone: ---

The minimize-all script from KWin always minimizes/restores the windows when
moving the mouse along the topper screen edge.
Seems to be related to additions of code with "BorderActivate". But you can't
configure the script in the "KWin scripts" KDE settings module if you want to
disable that feature.

[plasma-pk-updates] [Bug 374429] New: Unchecking "Select all packages" makes updating impossible

2017-01-01 Thread Fabian Maurer
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=374429

Bug ID: 374429
Summary: Unchecking "Select all packages" makes updating
impossible
   Product: plasma-pk-updates
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Compiled Sources
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: minor
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: jgrul...@redhat.com
  Reporter: dark.shad...@web.de
  Target Milestone: ---

When unchecking "Select all packages", all packages get unchecked (as
expected).
But when a single package is then re-checked, the "Install updates" button is
still greyed out, while it should be clickable.
To update only a singe package, you need to check "Select all packages" and
uncheck all other packages that you don't want to update right now.

Using git version 6629779e6e2750cc94ade43385c460123a911057.

[kdialog] [Bug 373721] New: Chrome's kdialog always opens the default path

2016-12-16 Thread Fabian Maurer

Bug ID: 373721
Summary: Chrome's kdialog always opens the default path

  Platform: Compiled Sources
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: br...@frogmouth.net
  Reporter: dark.shad...@web.de
  Target Milestone: ---

Using Arch Linux. After updating from "kdebase-kdialog 16.08.3-1" to "kdialog
16.12.0-1" the issue appears.

Action: Right-click on any image and select "Save as"
Expected Result: Open save dialog in last used folder
Result: Dialog is opened in default folder

Downgrading to kdebase-kdialog does help, downgrading chrome does not.

Might be related to Bug 369216.

Help pinning down the issue would be appreciated.

Thanks, had exactly the same issue on Arch with qt-base 5.7.0. The problem was
indeed solved by installing the latest git version.
