Bug ID: 407545
Summary: Ctrl-C or triple-click in Chrome omnibar creates
multiple context menus
Product: plasmashell
Version: 5.12.7
Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
Severity: normal
Priority: NOR
Component: Global Menu
Assignee: k...@privat.broulik.de
Reporter: mccullough.harri...@gmail.com
CC: mvourla...@gmail.com, plasma-b...@kde.org
Target Milestone: 1.0
SUMMARY
When I press Ctrl-C while in Google Chrome's "omnibar" (URL bar), several (~4)
context menus appear. I have to press Esc or click "Cancel" four times for the
menu to go away. If I triple-click to select the entire URL, two context menus
appear.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Go to a website in Google Chrome (does not work if not on a valid webpage).
2. Highlight the entire URL.
3. Press Ctrl-C OR triple-click to select all text.
OBSERVED RESULT
URL is copied to the clipboard AND two-four identical, stacked context menus
appear.
EXPECTED RESULT
URL is copied to the clipboard and no context menus appear.
SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
- Linux Ubuntu 18.04
- KDE 5.12.7
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
- This does not happen in Firefox.
- It only happens when the text in the "omnibar" is a valid URL.
- The context bar contains the following items:
- The text "HTML document - Actions For: "
- Several applications (e.g. Google Chrome, Firefox, etc.)
- The text "Disable This Popup"
- The text "Cancel"
