[kate] [Bug 473328] New: Remove Trailing Spaces option should ignore empty lines

2023-08-13 Thread Jacob S.
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=473328

Bug ID: 473328
Summary: Remove Trailing Spaces option should ignore empty
lines
Classification: Applications
   Product: kate
   Version: 23.04.3
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: wishlist
  Priority: NOR
 Component: indentation
  Assignee: kwrite-bugs-n...@kde.org
  Reporter: jakieschneide...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY
Only remove trailing whitespaces from non-empty lines

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
When Kate saves a file, by default it will remove trailing spaces from a line,
which is fantastic, but in combination with 1s autosave intervals, the cursor
will very quickly jump to the beginning of the line, which can become
frustrating.

OBSERVED RESULT
Cursor jumps to the beginning of the line, as the line consist only of
whitespace and so is cleared.

EXPECTED RESULT
By ignoring lines containing only whitespace, this behaviour is accounted for.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Linux/KDE Plasma: KDE Neon 5.27.7
KDE Plasma Version: 5.27.7
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.108.0
Qt Version: 5.15.10

I'm experiencing similar symptoms although mine are more general. When
specifying hotspot SSID, as long as the password is blank, my devices connect,
but once the password is set, it seems to reject the device outright
immediately.

[kdeconnect] [Bug 441742] New: Accessibility Features in Response window are missing

2021-08-30 Thread Jacob S.
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=441742

Bug ID: 441742
Summary: Accessibility Features in Response window are missing
   Product: kdeconnect
   Version: 1.10
  Platform: Kubuntu Packages
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
  Severity: minor
  Priority: NOR
 Component: messaging-application
  Assignee: si...@ergotech.com
  Reporter: jakieschneide...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY
When responding to a message through the KDEConnect service, the message field
is missing many critical accessibility features, such as keyboard navigation.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Respond to a message received from the android device through Connect
2. Use navigation keys such as `tab` or `enter`

OBSERVED RESULT
Keys used appear as characters.

EXPECTED RESULT
`tab` or `enter` key presses should in some way allow keyboard-navigation.
Perhaps `shift`+`` would type that character.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Windows: Windows 10 21H1
macOS:
Linux/KDE Plasma: KUbuntu 21.04 - Plasma 5.12

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
General Accessibility features are missing, however the example outlined above
is most impactful.

I received the news stating this had been addressed, it didn't work either. I
simply waited for a few hours, and it worked.

I've had trouble connecting google services to the KDE suite. Firstly google
drive in Dolphin, then Gmail in KMail2. Google says that the apps need to be
verified by the developer.
