Mauro,
Thanks for you help on this.

I have checked my receiver with Kaffeine on another Ubuntu system, and it works
fine for both standard and hi-def signals.

I also found out that the system that's giving me problems with Kaffeine also
has trouble playing DVD's with other software.

So, I don't think the problem is with Kaffeine, but with my video drivers.
Sorry to take up your time, and thanks again.

Jeff

[kaffeine] [Bug 379568] New: Program crashes with high definition tv stations

2017-05-05 Thread Jeffrey Clymer
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=379568

Bug ID: 379568
Summary: Program crashes with high definition tv stations
   Product: kaffeine
   Version: 2.0.1
  Platform: Ubuntu Packages
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: crash
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: mchehab+...@kernel.org
  Reporter: jcly...@fuse.net
  Target Milestone: ---

The program works fine for ATSC standard definition stations, but crashes
within a few seconds when I switch to a high definition station with a
segmentation fault.

I am using RV610 [Radeon HD 2400 PRO] in a Dell Inspiron computer with Ubuntu
17.04.

Here is the terminal output. In this session I viewed two standard def stations
and then a high def station.
