My display setup:
Global scale:1.0
Resolution: 3440x1440 @ 75 Hz
Forced font DPI: 110
The second monitor runs at a standard 1920x1080 @ 60 Hz
The issue does not appear with the high-res monitor alone

Further testing seems to confirm that the dual monitor setup is triggering the
bug.
The dual monitor setup in combination with any driver (nvidia 440.82/ 435.21,
noveau) is still suffering from the issue.
