Well. The intention isn't to print 2 pages for sheet.
The request is simply to choose freely where an image should be printed
(center, up, down, on landscape sheet, on portrait sheet etc...
I think that users might have more freedom to choose about this. Okular even
could maintain a default behavior, however, it coud offer some options about
it.
Sorry for taking long to comment.
Thanks by the attention.

Yes, that's right. It means paper economy. More space left = space for printing
another picture (or a copy from the first one), space for annotations etc.
It's always better to offer options :-)

[okular] [Bug 385423] New: Okular print dialog doesn't offer "landscape" nor "portrait" options for paper rotation

2017-10-05 Thread LordDan

Bug ID: 385423
Summary: Okular print dialog doesn't offer "landscape" nor
"portrait" options for paper rotation
   Product: okular
   Version: 0.25.0
  Platform: Debian stable
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: printing
  Assignee: okular-de...@kde.org
  Reporter: einlan...@gmx.net
  Target Milestone: ---

I want to print a document the fits the upper part of an A4 page; however,
Okular just detects that a document is a horizontal rectangle and automatically
chooses the "Landscape" orientation. I just am't able to configure Okular to
print the way I want.
Evince options are better displayed...

[kate] [Bug 381997] Kate doesn't receive a lenghty text paste from Firefox

2017-07-24 Thread LordDan
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=381997

--- Comment #5 from LordDan <einlan...@gmx.net> ---
I think that the bug might be in the code that makes that graphical text
preview at scrooling bar to the right. If kate opens a file with large text, no
problem. However, if kate receives a large text from paste command; it might
generate lots of cicles of rendering, letter by letter, consuming a lot of time
and cpu resources.
The solution might be this: do the rendering of the scrooling bar previewer
just in the end of paste task.

I don't think so. This bug I reported is about an large incoming text copied
from another application (Firefox). Bug 381329 occurs in an inverse way: a text
being copied from kate to another app, LibreOffice; which is also weird.

In my case, it occurred like this, using the same text:
- copy/paste from kate to kate -> indicator quit flashing, it took some time
and the text appeared.
- copy/paste from Firefox to Kate -> indicator keep flashing, text never
appeared...

[kate] [Bug 381997] New: Kate doesn't receive a lenghty text paste from Firefox

2017-07-04 Thread LordDan

Bug ID: 381997
Summary: Kate doesn't receive a lenghty text paste from Firefox
   Product: kate
   Version: 16.08
  Platform: Debian stable
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: application
  Assignee: kwrite-bugs-n...@kde.org
  Reporter: einlan...@gmx.net
  Target Milestone: ---

Greetings. I'm using Kate on Debian 9 Stable.

I can't copy/paste a big text from Firefox to Kate (and Kwrite).

How to reproduce:

1 - Go to to this site:
https://www.gamefaqs.com/android/732857-final-fantasy-iv-the-after-years/faqs/56731
2 - Copy the text (just the text or the entire page gives the same result)
3 - Paste it on a new Kate file

Well, the Gedit app (installed on KDE 5.8) does the task instantly...

[frameworks-solid] [Bug 270808] KDE should spin-down external hard disks when 'safely removed'

2017-07-04 Thread LordDan
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=270808

--- Comment #41 from LordDan <einlan...@gmx.net> ---
Well, it's just shameful that KDE still can't power off an USB removable hard
disk.
Others DEs do it: Gnome, XFCE, Windows, MacOS... Perhaps LXDE.
I still rely on Gnome Disk Utility (Disks) for safe removal of an external
HD...

[kde] [Bug 371161] New: KDE doesn't turn-off the external Hard Disk device after the command to eject it is given

  Platform: Kubuntu Packages
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: wishlist
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: unassigned-b...@kde.org
  Reporter: einlan...@gmx.net

KDE doesn't turn-off the external HD device after the command to eject it is
given.
KDE just "unmount" the device after command "eject" is given.
Must add the option "unmount and turn it off" for removable devices like
external hard disks to prevent data corruption in it.
MATE and XFCE does that. The workaround I use in KDE is to install
gnome-disk-utility.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Try to eject an removable device like external hard disk
2.
3.
