[kaddressbook] [Bug 364678] New: kaddressbook does not sync contacts

2016-06-23 Thread Peter Gückel via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=364678

Bug ID: 364678
Summary: kaddressbook does not sync contacts
   Product: kaddressbook
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Fedora RPMs
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: major
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: kdepim-b...@kde.org
  Reporter: pguec...@gmail.com
CC: to...@kde.org

kaddressbook-15.12.3-1.fc24.x86_64
akonadi-1.13.0-102.fc24.x86_64

I had a contacts vcard file.vcf with all of my contacts. Whenever I made
changes to the information in kaddressbook, the akonadi database was correctly
updated, but the updates were not written to my master file resource! I then
converted the contacts.vcf file to individual vcard4 files, one for each
contact, and made a contacts directory. Again, kaddressbook read all of my
contacts into the akonadi database, but, when making updates to the contact
information, the revised data was not correspondingly updated in my master
vcard file collection.

As a result of this bug, I have irretrievably lost much information.

Why do the updates not get written to the master resources?

Reproducible: Always

Actual Results:
Edit a contact. Akonadi is updated, but the master file is not. When
transferring the master file to a clean install of fedora or to another distro,
there is data loss.

Expected Results:
My updates to my saved contact information must be preserved!

[knode] [Bug 363410] knode doesn't respect X-Archive:encrypt in the header

2016-05-22 Thread Peter Gückel via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=363410

I think this is probably not a bug.

I notice that when I post to fedora.testers, my address appears in cleartext,
but when I post to fedora.kde, it is encrypted !!!

Explain, please.

2016-05-22 Thread Peter Gückel via KDE Bugzilla

Using knode-4.14.10-24.fc24 on Fedora 24

In past versions (fedora 23, 22 etc) I used to put X-Archive : encrypt into the
header configuration under posting news in the program setup. I don't know
about other news servers, but gmane supports this header and encrypts the email
address.

Now, in Fedora 24, the email address is no longer encrypted. The X-Face, also
entered in the header configuration section, is, however, honoured.

I have checked the gmane site and there is no mention that this feature is no
longer supported; to the contrary, they have a page indicating this feature.

It seems to me that there is something in knode that no longer allows email
encryption.

Reproducible: Always

[korganizer] [Bug 332448] korganizer reminder has amnesia

As I said!

After the last post, I turned off the computer and, now home again, I turned it
back on. Guess what!? 19:502 and the reminder was triggerred!

korganizer has amnesia... still!

Confirmed.

I deferred a reminder at noon for 5 hours. I suspended the computer for 2 about
hours and resumed it around 4. The reminder should have come at 5 o'clock, but
didn't. It is now nearly 5:45.

I suspect that the reminder will be 2 hours late.

I have updated to 15.12.3 in Fedora 24 and the problem persists!

I put an alert on old for 90 minutes and went to bed about an hour later. About
30 minutes after getting up in the morning, the alert was triggerred—certainly
10-12 hours past the 90 minutes I had indicated.
