I have had no problems for the last 3 months - so the recovery method seems to
work for me!

Great work Daniel. I switched from kmail to thunderbird some months ago and I
hate it. I look forward to this automatic repair getting into my distribution
:)

[Akonadi] [Bug 338658] GMail, Novell Groupwise, other IMAP: "Multiple merge candidates, aborting"

2019-03-11 Thread Søren Holm
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=338658

I don't think that *anyone* knows what the problem is. This "mail in
database"-system should never have been done in the first place. I still use
kmail/kontact but tt has been functioning suboptimal all the years.

This still happens in KDE 5.54 every one og two months. The only real solution
is to recreate the mail account. I use dovecot as imap server.

While this is still a problem, could'nt you a a functionality that just
recreates the account. Just so we are not forced to enter the credentials and
setup folders and such?

[Akonadi] [Bug 387161] Akonadi fails to fetch imap messages after resume from suspend

2018-04-14 Thread Søren Holm
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=387161

Deleting the account and adding it again seems to work around the issue. But
only for some unknown amount of time. But weeks or months later it gets stuck
again.

I can confirm it. It suddenly stopped working a couple of months ago. I did
nothing to the configuration. Like Michael D as restart of akonadi is required
to get it running again.

Can anyone confirm that?

[frameworks-kservice] [Bug 353203] 20 seconds delay on kde login with kservice 5.14.3

2016-03-08 Thread Søren Holm via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=353203

--- Comment #51 from Søren Holm <s...@sgh.dk> ---
Removing dbus-update-activation-environment from startkde did not solve it or
me. skipping "--systemd" was no luck either.

Interestingly enough, the first login running completely without
dbus-update-activation-environment but with
/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libexec/ksyncdbusenv instead work well for ONE login.
After that it made no difference.
