STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Click on Calendar on the sidebar.
2. Ctrl+F to search for event in calendars. 
3. Input string of text in the "Search for" field. 
4. Click on the "Search" button.

OBSERVED RESULT
Program crashes.

EXPECTED RESULT
Find associated events containing the string of text inserted in the "Search
for" field.

When restarting my laptop, my gmail calendar is not reloaded in KOrganizer
anymore, and events are not showing in the digital clock as well.  


STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Restart my laptop.
2. Open KOrganizer > settings > Configure KOrganizer > General > Calendars >
Google Groupware > Modify > Reload. Then my calendar shows again in KOrganizer
only.
3. Digital Clock  > Configure Digital Clock > PIM event plugins > Select again
my Gmail calendar.  Then my events shows in the Digital Clock.

OBSERVED RESULT
My Gmail calendar is not reloaded after restart.

EXPECTED RESULT
My Gmail calendar should be reloaded/synced after restart.

SUMMARY
When receiving a email with an inline image, Kontact do not show the image in
the email.  However, when replying to this specific email, then the image show
in the reply email (Re : ).  Also, if I open Kmail instead of Kontact, the
image appears  in the received email.


STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open an email with an inline image.
2. No image appears when reading the email.
3. When opening the email directly with Kmail, the image shows.  When replying
to the received email in Kontact, the image now appears in the replying email
window.

EXPECTED RESULT
Image shows in all received emails.

As it is a standardized component (MiniBar), it is obvious that no effort
should be put to modify the actual behavior.  
I mark this 'wishlist' as RESOLVED.
Thanks for the answers.  Also, as a matter of fact, I just noticed that the
left and right arrows on the keyboard let me scroll the PDF documents from a
full page to another (instead of a continuous scroll), which replicates the
behavior I get when I scroll in the spinbox.  So I can say that I'm happy with
that.

When scrolling DOWN in the document with the mousewheel, the pages goes up -
increase (standard scrolling). But when scrolling DOWN over the page number in
the «page bar» (located at the bottom of Okular), the page number decreases,
inherently going back in the document.

SUMMARY
In Okular, when scrolling with mousewheel in the page bar, the scolling
direction is in the reverse direction of the standard page scrolling.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Scrolling down with the mousewheel in the document goes from a lower page to
an upper page (ex. page 4 to page 5). 
2. Scrolling in the same manner with the mousewheel in the page bar goes from
an upper page to a lower page (ex. page 4 to page 3).

OBSERVED RESULT
Scrolling in the page bar is the inverse from the general document scrolling.  

EXPECTED RESULT
Both scrolling with the mousewheel in the document AND the page bar, should go
in the same direction altogether.

Here are my answers to your comments :

In general we try to avoid this kind of super-granular setting; it's why
different themes exist, after all. // I totally understand :).  However, I
can't seem to be able to modify the padding in the theme files, as Breeze is a
complete engine, compared to a Kvantum or a GTK theme for example.  

But can you clarify what you mean by "padding" // For example, on a button, the
space between the text on top of the button and the border of the button. 
Sometimes, the horizontal and vertical paddings are different.  

Maybe provide a mockup of what you would like to change it to, if you had such
an option // I seek a way to have a more compact look while keeping the awesome
Breeze look.  As an example, there is such a feature in Outook to use less
space and a much tighter look (see

SUMMARY
It would be appreciated if the padding of buttons and other similar elements of
the Breeze theme could be adjusted (in the configuration of the application
style for example). If you compare to the actual Breeze theme to the KDE4
Oxygen theme, Windows 10 or even Mac OS X Mojave button size (vertical size
mainly), the latter ones are a lot thinner.  The Fusion style is a lot thinner,
but do not have the elegance of the Breeze theme.  It would be a plus to be
able to adjust to everyone's needs.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. System settings > Appearance > Application style > Breee > Edit >
2. Have someplace to edit the padding of the elements of the Breeze style

OBSERVED RESULT
No option to adjust padding.

EXPECTED RESULT
The padding of buttons/other similiar elements are ajusted according our

Hi Laurent,

In fact, this behavior didn't happen in the last months (so I cannot give any
example)... sorry.  Is it because there since has been distro updates OR
because I changed the Kmail settings (Kmail > Configure Kmail > Misc >
Invitations > Groupware Compatibility & Legacy Options) and selected the 'three
options ?  I cannot say.  

Now the buttons appears in the mail body.  So everything's fine.
I can now close this bug as I cannot provide more info about it.

I'm a end user, not a developer.  For that particular bug, the KDE Crash Dialog
does not appear after the crash.  That is indeed why it took me so long to
report it (this bug appeared months ago, but do not recall the exact moment).  

I cannot provide more info without the crash Dialog.  If nothing can be done
without backtrace, then close this bug.  I guess someone else will file it
again with more information :).

Plain text that displays instead of the action buttons

Since updrading to KMail 5.8.0 on Manjaro, no action buttons (accept, refuse,
tentative, etc.) does appear anymore in the mail body, no matter the source.
Only the HTML status bar indicates "Calendar Message", and dependently of the
source, an .ICS file is attached.

Furthermore, receiving calendar invitations from Outlook.live.com (PRODID:
Microsoft Exchange Server 2010 - see attachment), KMail seems to recognize it
as a calendar invitation (the HTML status bar indicates "Calendar Message") but
in this case, no action buttons appear, neither is an .ICS file attached
either.

Microsoft Office 2016 uses Ctrl+Shift+C to copy text format and Ctrl+Shift+V to
paste it to other text (keyboard shortcuts instead of using 'format painter'). 
While it is easy to remember because it uses the same logic as Ctrl+C and
Ctrl+V to paste text, those shorctuts are instead targeted to copy/paste format
of the text, which become pretty useful.

It would be nice to have those shortcuts available to all KDE software where
formatted text is present.

I strongly agree with comments above > I think that this functionality might be
required for some in their daily usage of the software.  However, I find it
quite annoying visually and liked the ability we had in previous versions to
remove this bar in the Settings. Please, put it back.  Thank you for your
awesome job.  Kmail is a really great piece of software ! :)

To reproduce the bug, I simply create a new event by double-clicking any day of
the month, then in the Attendees tab, I write down the address OR click on the
'Select Attendees...' button and select (2) or more attendees.  Finally, I
click save.

At that point, no invitation email is sent to the attendees : The meeting is
still in my calendar, but no invitation has been sent to the attendees.

I tested with either one of those :
1) Name FamilyName <addr...@domain.com>
2) addr...@domain.com

As long as there is more than (1) attendee, no invitation is sent.  If I try to
send an invitation with more than one attendee (it does not work) and then,  I
remove the extra attendees so that there is only (1) attendee left, it will
then work and the invitation is sent.

Do you have a specific error on console or other ?

No I don't have any error on console... I guess.. Actually I don't know how to
investigate this error.  Normally when sending an invite to multiple attendees,
a notification in the right corner indicates "E-mail successfully sent".  For
the last invites I tried to send, it did not, so I investigated the situation,
to conclude that no invitation was sent to the other attendees of the event. 
Should I run any kind of diagnostic tool ?

I want to report (2) bugs at the same time : 

1) when selecting multiple attendees (more than one), no invitation is sent. 
If I choose only one attendee, then the invitation is sent with no problem.

2) The autocompletion of email adresses in KOrganizer new event window seems to
be broken.  I have to select from my list of contacts from the 'Select
Attendees...' button or write down the complete address.  Korganizer used to
search into my contacts and Recent adresses.

I personally really like the way Ubuntu menu appears when you hover over the
title bar and how it disappears when you leave.  The KDE 5.9 button on the
title bar is kind of the same thing BUT you need to click on the button the see
the menu titles, which become an additional step each time.  I don't use the
'control button' in Dolphin and rather use the menubar which feels to me more
natural.  I would be a great addition to the KDE desktop to have a title bar
like Ubuntu.  What do you think ?

Keep doing your awesome work !  I Love the KDE desktop
(look/feel/customizability) !

Oxygen Glow

I use a dark color theme in KDE and when having multiple windows overlapping,
the focus on the active window is not as easy to see than it was with Oxygen.  
The Oxygen theme was using a glow all around (at the perimeter) of the windows.
 Breeze theme uses shadow on (2) sides of the windows.  It would great to have
an option in the Breeze window decoration theme whether to be able to set the
shadow on all sides of the windows/switch to a 'glow' effect. 

I attach an image showing the glow around Oxygen decoration.

Keep doing good job !  I really love the KDE desktop and the Breeze theme !

I would also like to have that feature in Kmail2 : 

At work, I use Microsoft Outlook, and the multiple signatures feature  gives me
the opportunity to change every mail's signature to taste (depending on what I
included in my mail) - without having to have template-e-mails or anything like
it.  For example, for a standard mail, I could select any of theses three
signatures I would have created :
1. Thank you and have a nice day !  (default)
2. See file(s) attached.  Thank you and have a nice day !
3. Should you have any questions, do not hesitate to write us back. Thank you
and have a nice day !

It could be possible to create list of signatures and assign any of those
signatures as default for each Identity in Kmail, and then, when writing a
mail, to have the choice to select any of the other signatures available, when
required.

When sending invitations from my contacts or recent addresses drop-down list,
with outgoing mail server smtp.gmail.com, I get the following error : " Message
sending failed since the following recipients were rejected by the server".

Steps to Reproduce:
1. I send an invitation to someone from the drop-down list (from my contact
list) with the format  "ContactName ".


Actual Results:  
I always get the following error : "E-Mail Sending Failed - Failed to transport
message.  Message sending failed since the following recipients were rejected
by the server: ContactName (The server responded: "5.5.2 Syntax error
g78sm112724itb.12 - gsmtp")

Expected Results:  
To receive a notification displaying that the e-mail has been sent
successfully. 

1. My outgoing mail server is "smtp.gmail.com".  
2. I tried with the outgoing mail server "smtp-mail.outlook.com" and it works
as expected.  
3. It is a google-smtp-related problem.
4. An easy, but not user-friendly, workaround is to remove the "ContactName<"
and ">" part of the drop-down list contact.  The drop-down list is useful to
get contacts and recent e-mail addresses, but with this bug, it becomes less
useful.

Shift+Left click used to open a new instance of an already opened app.  I just
upgraded my Manjaro Linux and it do not work anymore.  I now need to use middle
click on the icon OR right click 'Start a new instance'.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open a new app (eg. Dolphin)
2. Try to Shift+Left click on the app's icon in tasbar
3. Be sorry because it does not work anymore.

Actual Results:  
Nothing.

Expected Results:  
A new instance of the app should start.
