[Discover] [Bug 366029] Updater does not report available updates every day
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=366029 --- Comment #2 from Terry Coles--- OK. Will do. However, I'd like to mention that I reported the bug here by clicking on the 'Report bug...' menu item in the Update Manager. Someone somewhere should make that point to Kubuntu, instead of KDE; presumably that someone is in the Kubuntu team. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[Discover] [Bug 366029] New: Updater does not report available updates every day
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=366029 Bug ID: 366029 Summary: Updater does not report available updates every day Product: Discover Version: 5.6.4 Platform: Kubuntu Packages OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: discover Assignee: aleix...@kde.org Reporter: kdeb...@hadrian-way.co.uk Created attachment 100262 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=100262=edit Updates configuration tab Checking for updates is configured to happen daily (see attached screenshot), but updates are only flagged about once a week. Manually checking for updates using the Update Manager does not identify any pending updates, even when they exist. However, issuing 'sudo apt-get update' in a shell causes the update manager to flag them. Update Manager then applies the updates normally when directed to do so. Maybe this is a configuration issue, but it would seem pointless to check for updates and then ignore them. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[Discover] [Bug 347602] Update Manager systray icon and info still reports pending updates after updates applied
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=347602 --- Comment #67 from Terry Coles--- I can confirm that the updater doesn't indicate any updates until 'sudo apt-get update' is executed in a shell. The process then completes normally if I click on the icon. I had noticed this some time ago, but was holding off reporting it because I was uncertain whether the check was occurring on start-up and the actual updates arrived later. I'm now pretty sure that isn't the case -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
