It appears someone did a complete rewrite of this applet and jacked it up in the plasma-desktop tarball. This is probably a duplicate report. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Set taskmanager to icons-only 2. Launch an app 3. Fixed rpm package by removing -DCONFIG_INSTALL_DIR=%{_sysconfdir} from my cmake
configure.
