it now worked, I did a reboot and restarting digikam several times and
switching themes, at some point it worked. Simple restart of digikam I tried
before already but it did not work. Ok thx

I installed digikam on xubuntu 18.04 from the repositories (apt install
digikam). It works great, but some icons are missing as you can see in the
attachment. I guess these are kde icons that are missing in xubuntu, right? How
can i add them?

You can choose to filter for "images without tags" but there is no options to
filter for "images without rating", same is for "without pick/colors"
