https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=486580 Bug ID: 486580 Summary: Sometimes Dolphin doesn't refresh on paste completion and the pasted file isn't visible. After a refresh it's there. During the copying process the file is visible on the new location but after the copying process finishes, it disappears. You have to refresh to get it visible again. I tried with many directories and there's no matter if there are many, few or zero files. I recorded a video of the problem: https://i.imgur.com/3MF8wmZ.gif STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Copy a file and paste it into a new location. OBSERVED RESULT Sometimes the file disappears and one have to refresh to get it visible again. https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=486194 --- Comment #5 from mozo --- Hmm, it's not for the version. When I commit a downgrade with different versions for kate and kwrite and the system asks me to remove kate because of the versions incompatibilty, text scrolling is working fine no matter the version. [kate] [Bug 486194] Text scrolling with mouse selection doesn't work on X11
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=486194 --- Comment #3 from mozo --- I just realized what the problem is - when the mouse left the Kate/Kwrite borders, it stops to drag the text but it shouldn't. It's working correctly with Wayland and Plasma 5 X11 and Wayland and there if the mouse is out of the Kate/Kwrite borders but the left mouse button is pressed, it continues to drag the text as it should be and as it's how it is on every other text editor. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

This is working ok on Wayland but not on X11. It's a dealbreaker if one works a lot with text every day like me. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. It's an important bug and it needs attention. It's a pain to work with directories with many files and to find every new pasted file manually. We're the only one file manager with such ridiculous bug in the moment. It's so intrusive that I installed nemo temporarily but I'm using KDE and I want Dolphin. [frameworks-plasma] [Bug 463024] Plasma components don't respect Sub-pixel rendering
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=463024 --- Comment #38 from mozo --- @phd I hate it too but for the moment Plasma is the only DE where you can't disable it... It's a mess and I really can't understand how it's possible in 21st century a to have a DE with such ridiculous bug and it's actually a LTS release... -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=463024 --- Comment #36 from mozo --- I want to ask - granted nobody cares, should we have the option to disable Sub-pixel rendering in Plasma 6 at all? -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[dolphin] [Bug 476670] New: Dolphin doesn't focus on the new pasted file if it's beyond screen border
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=476670 Bug ID: 476670 Summary: Dolphin doesn't focus on the new pasted file if it's beyond screen border Classification: Applications Product: dolphin Version: 23.08.2 Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: major Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: dolphin-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: smi...@abv.bg CC: kfm-de...@kde.org Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY Dolphin doesn't focus on the new pasted file if it's beyond screen border. Let's say we have a folder with 1000 files. We vave to paste a new file with a name of WWW. When we open the folder and it's set to arrange items by name, we see the first 20-30 files beginning with the letters A and B. We don't see the files with W. When we paste the file, Dolphin doesn't focus on the newly pasted file and doesn't mark it as it should be and was like that for ages not only in Dolphin but in every single file manager. It's a new bug and it appears version ot two from 23.08.2. I can't downgrade to try when exactly the problem appeared because of this: https://pastebin.com/8uRcrh7t It's very tiring to search files among thousands of others files many times again. Note that I did not touch anything during paste process and I don't select other files. It's a recent problem. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Copy a file and paste it in a directory with many files where the name of the copied and pasted file is beyond the letters which you're seeing in the moment. 2. 3. OBSERVED RESULT When the file transfer is over, it's like nothing happened. EXPECTED RESULT Dolphin should move to the newly pasted file and should mark it. https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=469324 --- Comment #10 from mozo --- Hmm, thank you for helping me identifying my problem. I found it thanks to you! When I start Dolphin from Konsole, there's no problems at all. When I start Dolphin from the start menu - there's no problem as well. The funny thing here is the fact I ALWAYS start Dolphin from the home folder icon on my desktop and the bug occurs only then. I tried to open Dolphin with a directory: dolphin /home/mozo But the bug doesn't occurs. It's only there if I start it from the home folder icon on my desktop. It's not a big deal, I can always use a link and delete the home folder icon. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[dolphin] [Bug 469324] Cuted files/folders still listed
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=469324 --- Comment #8 from mozo --- Oh, and I forgot - the bug occurs with every partition, not only the Game partition. The only mandatory condition in order to trigger the bug is one of the folders have to be from the system drive, e.g. home. In my case it's the Desktop folder but it can be any folder from the system drive. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
