[digikam] [Bug 417140] Map panel shows white rectangle when using Google Maps
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=417140 --- Comment #8 from tpg --- Hi Maik, Still not solved in 7.0RC / Ubuntu 20.4. Setting the environment variable as advised does not help. Anything else I can (should) do? It is pretty important for me, cause I make a lot of nature observations with my GPS equipped camera. Regard and thanks for your work, Theo -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[digikam] [Bug 375468] Cannot turn on Menubar
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=375468 --- Comment #15 from tpg <tp.gr...@gmail.com> --- I totally agree. For now I'm happy. Thanks you all for maintaining a fantastic program. Theo -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[digikam] [Bug 375468] Cannot turn on Menubar
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=375468 --- Comment #13 from tpg <tp.gr...@gmail.com> --- Maik, Thanks for taking the trouble. I run 5.8.0 now from the appimage. You and Gilles got me on 5.7.0 because of previous problems, and on 5.8.0 on this one. Ctrl-M does not work here. How do I get it working from the gui without having a menu bar? Having said that, in 5.7.0 hitting control-M twice (!) does the job. Feels a lot better. Thanks a lot, if further problems I'll keep you posted. [digikam] [Bug 375468] Cannot turn on Menubar
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=375468 --- Comment #11 from tpg <tp.gr...@gmail.com> --- It's gnome now with 17.10. Indeed, Unity is dead. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[digikam] [Bug 375468] Cannot turn on Menubar
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=375468 --- Comment #8 from tpg <tp.gr...@gmail.com> --- Strangely the file digikamui.rc is not recreated (absent) in kxmlgui5. Theo -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[digikam] [Bug 375468] Cannot turn on Menubar
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=375468 --- Comment #7 from tpg <tp.gr...@gmail.com> --- As I hinted, I had ~/.local/share/kxmlgui5/digikam/ recreated, without luck. And sorry to say, the 5.8.0 appimage does not solve the problem either. Theo -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[digikam] [Bug 375468] Cannot turn on Menubar
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=375468 tpg <tp.gr...@gmail.com> changed: What|Removed |Added CC||tp.gr...@gmail.com --- Comment #4 from tpg <tp.gr...@gmail.com> --- I did a fresh install of Ubuntu 17.10, installed digikam 5.6.0 from the repository, but run 5.7.0 from appimage. The Menu bar is now gone (was there under 17.04) and I can't get it back. Tried the obvious things (ctlr-M, MenuBar=Enabled, kxmlgui/digikam), but none worked. I am surprised that this problem is around for about 10 years. Pls advise, Theo -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[digikam] [Bug 384849] Database dropped when network collection not mounted
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=384849 --- Comment #8 from tpg <tp.gr...@gmail.com> --- Checked database is still there. The pop-up on doubleclick stays too short to read. You need click and a half to read it. Thanks again, Theo -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[digikam] [Bug 384849] Database dropped when network collection not mounted
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=384849 --- Comment #4 from tpg <tp.gr...@gmail.com> --- Good question, Maik, No it isn't. It's a local collection. When version 5 came, it seemed to have lost everything in use until that moment. So I reconfigured. I may have thought it made no difference. The file browsing menus are identical anyway, asking for the mount point. Come to think of it, the mount point is also a local directory, but when nothing mounted there, empty. I will add a collection on removable shares, and when next remove the local collection. Or should I remove it first and next add the network share? [digikam] [Bug 384826] Flickr export broken
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=384826 --- Comment #9 from tpg <tp.gr...@gmail.com> --- Hi Maik, I retrieved my personal Flickr account, so that works fine. I tested to switch account to my wife's, And that seems to work too (as you probably expected). Apparently at each switch of account, you have to grant authorization separately, and the browser opens the current or last Flickr account. DigiKam does not seem to keep a list of targeted accounts. Something for a future release? Thanks, Theo. Theo -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[digikam] [Bug 384849] Database dropped when network collection not mounted
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=384849 --- Comment #1 from tpg <tp.gr...@gmail.com> --- It's the July 2017 prerelease I was using. Replaced it by the Aug 27 version, but did not retry. Theo -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[digikam] [Bug 384826] Flickr export broken
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=384826 --- Comment #7 from tpg <tp.gr...@gmail.com> --- Thanks Maik, I was using an appimage Gilles recommended in July. This one does the trick. Theo -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[digikam] [Bug 384826] Flickr export broken
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=384826 --- Comment #5 from tpg <tp.gr...@gmail.com> --- It does not work that way. Or, it does not turn out so. There comes no authorization screen. Just - I repeat - the All Activity screen. And, kipi-plugins.org is already authorized. But digiKam does not seem to know. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[digikam] [Bug 384826] Flickr export broken
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=384826 --- Comment #3 from tpg <tp.gr...@gmail.com> --- Hello Maik, You confuse me. I interpreted it as follows. In the browser I logged out of Flickr, and started the Flickr export tool. The only thing I got was a login screen, and after logging in, the Flickr All Acivity screen. Regards, Theo -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[digikam] [Bug 384849] New: Database dropped when network collection not mounted
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=384849 Bug ID: 384849 Summary: Database dropped when network collection not mounted Product: digikam Version: 5.7.0 Platform: Ubuntu Packages OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: digikam-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: tp.gr...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- Incidentally it happens that I start digiKam while the network device containing my major collection is not mounted. Digikam removes whatever is not mounted from the list. Not from Settings | Condfigure Digikam | Collections. After mount, digiKam detects the collection is there, and starts a complete scan as if it is rebuilding the database. In my case over tens of thousands of images. Which takes at least an hour. This should not be necessary imho. I think it did not do so in version 4.x. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[digikam] [Bug 384826] New: Flickr export broken
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=384826 Bug ID: 384826 Summary: Flickr export broken Product: digikam Version: 5.7.0 Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: digikam-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: tp.gr...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- Digikam 5.7.0 / Ubuntu 17.04. I have uploaded many a picture to my Flickr account. Wanted to upload some to my wife's account, which did not open a Flickr-page to assign permission, but my (!) endless All Activity page instead. Worst of all, I cannot upload to my own account any more, same problem. Digikam tries to get permission that it already has. but Flickr's My Flickr Settings tell kipi-plugins.org has that permission and I assume it is for Digikam. Somehow Digikam seems to have lost that information while the Flickr api may have changed. I do have an old digikamrc file. Can I use that to tweak the current file? Thanks for any help. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[digikam] [Bug 381958] Cannot add additional collection
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=381958 --- Comment #5 from tpg <tp.gr...@gmail.com> --- Hi Gilles, Thanks for the work-around with 5.7.0. I've added two other collections, and so far so good. I trust it will be fixed in the end. Regards, Theo. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
[digikam] [Bug 381958] Cannot add additional collection
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=381958 --- Comment #1 from tpg <tp.gr...@gmail.com> --- When I try to add an additional collection, that window does not pop up, and Digikam freezes. Have to kill and restart. Note: after installing a fresh Ubuntu 17.04, Digikam seemed to have lost its configuration data (?!), wanted to startup with mysql rather than SQLite, and seemed to build new databases.
