I can confirm. I can't state unequivocally what transpires before kmail stops
fetching but, once it does, all I can do is log out and log back in.

I will try restarting akonadictl. That is better than having to end and restart
a session.

Deleting the account and adding it again seems to work around the issue. But
only for some unknown amount of time. But weeks or months later it gets stuck
again.

I can confirm it. It suddenly stopped working a couple of months ago. I did
nothing to the configuration. Like Michael D as restart of akonadi is required
to get it running again.
