Bug ID: 409990 Summary: Wishlist: Apply metadata changes to picture selection Product: digikam Version: 6.2.0 Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: wishlist Priority: NOR Component: Metadata-Editor Assignee: digikam-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: iwannaber...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- Created attachment 121624 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=121624&action=edit Capture of EasyTag software where a solution similar to the one described in this report is used. SUMMARY After reading this message ( http://digikam.1695700.n4.nabble.com/digiKam-users-Update-metadata-for-multiple-photographs-td4708829.html ) in the mailing list, and having wished for the same thing in the past, I think it would be convenient to have an option to save a current metadata field to a selection of photographs using the Metadata Editor. The Batch Queue Manager could work for some cases, but it is not as flexible. For instance, you want to add a title and description to all pictures in a selection, or just edit some XMP field. Instead of going one by one, clicking on "next", a little button could be added to the left to each field to apply that change to the picture selection. I have attached a screenshot of another software that does a similar thing. In this case, EasyTag, a metadata editor for music files. Notice the little square buttons at the rightmost part of each field (Title, Artist, etc.). These apply the current content of the field to all the selection. I think something similar could work very well for digikam. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
