Problems seems to no longer happen on 7.9.0 as included in Debian 12. Or at
least not when just paging through the images, as happened before.

Hmm, on Debian there was a problem with ExifTool throwing an error message. I
can prevent the crash, but I have to look again where the cause was in Debian
and ExifTool...
