            Bug ID: 370543
Summary: Folder / File copy: Preserve tags, comments and
rating. Also preserve when editing/saving a file.
           Product: dolphin
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: Other
                OS: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: wishlist
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
          Assignee: dolphin-bugs-n...@kde.org
          Reporter: funkybom...@gmail.com

When a file is moved, it retains its tags, comments and rating. This should be
the desired behaviour, correct?

However when a file is just copied or edited/saved, then all of the above data
(tags, comments, rating) get destroyed.

Retaining these data during a Dolphin copy operation could be fixed by giving
the user an option to invoke the "cp -a" command or just by enabling it by
default for all copy operations in Dolphin.

I don't know if the fixing of the "editing/saving" part can be done by the
Dolphin team, but perhaps you can forward it to the appropriate team...

Dolphin is really getting where it needs to be, keep up the good work!
