Ok, as the previous comments say that there is no more problem, and no any
newer reports for 2.5 years, I will close as Worksforme.

I definitely remember having this problem in the past - that is why I added
myself to CC. But I've not been bothered by this anymore probably the whole
year. So with 19.12.3 I'd say: Works_for_me!

Using gwenview 20.08.2, sorting by date is pretty quick. no difference to sort
by name

I've just tested this on gwenview from git master and cannot reproduce the
issue.

Can you please test and confirm if this issue is still occurring or if this bug
report can be marked as resolved. I'm setting status to "needsinfo" pending
your response, please change back to "reported" when you respond, thanks.
