Bug ID: 422139 Summary: Audio is not syncing with video, audio wave changes when cremoving sections Product: kdenlive Version: 20.04.0 Platform: Manjaro OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: major Priority: NOR Component: User Interface Assignee: j...@kdenlive.org Reporter: waxw...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY Three interrelated problems 1. When zoomed in close to a clip, the razor tool becomes very thick. Its impossible to precisely position it. 2. After deleting a section of a clip, the audio waveform changes shape so its impossible to accurately determine where you are. 3. Quite often, the audio and video are not playing in sync. This makes it impossible to edit using the audio waveform. I'm trying to remove "Ah.." and "Um" but this is not possible because audio is not in sync. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Zoom in very close in clip in the timeline 2. Try to precisely position razor tool- OBSERVED RESULT When zoomed in close, the razor tool becomes a thick line that cannot be placed with any precision. No way to know exactly where its going to cut. Sometimes it cuts along the right edge, sometimes the left, sometimes anywhere along the width 3. After cutting and removing sections, the audio form will change shape. This makes it difficult to accurately understand the wavelength. EXPECTED RESULT I expect the razor tool to be a razor, not a super-thick axe that is impossible to accurately position. It should remain as a thin line that can be precisely positioned. When I clip a section out of a wave form, or grab the end of a clip to pull it back (remove clip as I draw back), the remaining audio waveform should not distort. It should look the same regardless of what I clip out. Finally, audio and video should be synced precisely. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE Plasma: Manjaro 20.0.1 Lysia.
