            Bug ID: 364184
Summary: Navigating Canvas is slow (Pan, Rotate, Zoom)
           Product: krita
           Version: 3.0
          Platform: MS Windows
                OS: MS Windows
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: usability
          Assignee: krita-bugs-n...@kde.org
          Reporter: os...@jadamspam.pl

I noticed that in v3.0 I have really worse performance in navigating the Canvas
(Pan, Rotate, Zoom) compared to v2.9.10ae. On both versions I used 'Instant
Preview' and 'OpenGL' and 'Scaling Mode >> High Quality Filtering".

In v3.0 helps a lot (for me) turning off 'Display >> Use texture buffer' but
still I get really worse performance than I have in v2.9.10ae.

My PC: Intel Dual Core 2,2 Ghz, 4 GB Ram, Nvidia GeFroce G 103M, Win 7 64bit.

>From IRC (discussion about these issue):
<boud> it might be a change in Qt5 -- where Qt now forces double-buffering
<boud> it's so incredibly hard...
<boud> we started porting over a year ago, but only now we're really seeing the
regressions, other than the most obvious ones!
<eliotJ> Even on small resolution of image I have slow down...
<boud> what I think is also going is that 3.0 has memory problems compared to
2.9

Reproducible: Always
