I guess the problem is that officially, pt is 'points' that is 1/72th of an
inch, and I am not sure if that is also the case in ps...

Take 9pt for example. Back in the days we actually matched 9pt with 12px for
webpages. You can see how small 9pt really is in Microsoft Word and LibreOffice
as well. I migrated from Photoshop, and 9pt was tiny in a PS
