However, this time I noticed something different: the crass didn't happen until I made a few windows border-less (window menu -> more actions -> no border - apologies if those are not the English strings, but I have my system configured in a different language). I'd wait for a few days to verify this issue is really fixed, since it is not reproducible 100% of the time. Plasma 5.24.5 was made available on arch on May 3rd. I have certainly had this crash happen since then. I suppose this issue might have been fixed by another library release. For example, I see there have been updates in xdg-desktop-portal, mesa, and intel-media-driver since May 3rd, so maybe the issue was in those libraries. This seems to be a common issue I've been facing for a couple of months, I haven't been able to track down specifically what it is that causes it. Sometimes I'll just be watching a video, sometimes I'll Ctrl+Tab between Firefox tabs, sometimes it'll be during an Alt+Tab. It doesn't seem to be directly related to Firefox, but as that's where I spend a decent amount of my time it's the most common application I'll be using when KWin crashes.
