I compiled kwin-6.0.2 with the changes introduced by commit
0b2d8901ab086bf5119077911ba39f63b1bdecfe. As far as I can tell, it fully
addresses this bug.

As to Nate's request, I just tested with a Microsoft Compact Optical Mouse 500
v2.0 and had dsda-doom malfunction after the third try.

I forgot to say, regarding Comment 13, this is something that I have never seen
happen before, whether it be while using Wayland with 5.27.10 or X11 with any
version of Plasma.
