This can be achieved only by informing KWin to not behave to a dock line a
normal dock window. In v0.9 this is option Behavior->Environment->Can be above
fullscreen windows I have not found any other way to

BTW if you have a hidden left dock at the left edge then this SHOULD NOT work
with 0.8.9 are you sure this was working with 0.8.9?

placed
2. Start Latte and try gain and send a screenshot how the windows are placed
with Latte running
