Bug ID: 449091 Summary: KDE NEON Screensaver creashed Product: neon Version: unspecified Platform: Neon Packages OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: neon-b...@kde.org Reporter: michael.josenh...@web.de CC: j...@jriddell.org, neon-b...@kde.org, sit...@kde.org Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY Suddenly the screen became black with bold white letters and a text appeared that the screen saver crashed and thus I should press : Strg+Alt+F2 and then enter: loginctl unock-session 3 then press: Strg+D and then press Strg+Alt+F2. Which however did not work and the black screen remained. I could only switch off the computer and and restart it. When logging in as a wayland sessions, the mouse pointer and a black screen occurred. I can only switch off the computer afterward. If I login in as a X11-session, everything works as expected. No problems. If I start a wayland session after login, same problem as before. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. On my KDE Neon PC only!!!!! 2. Start PC and login as X11-session, everything works fine. 3. Start PC and login as wayland-session, black screen and mouse pointer visible. Nothing else. OBSERVED RESULT The wayland session does not work. EXPECTED RESULT The wayland session work in a similar manner like the X11 session- SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE Plasma: 5.23.5 (available in About System) KDE Plasma Version: 5.23.5 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.90.0 Qt Version: 5.15.3 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION If you need further information from the PC, like configuration files etc., please let me know. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
