Bug ID: 460837 Summary: Permissions for "Everyone" are not applied when using "Encrypt with LUKS" option. Classification: Applications Product: partitionmanager Version: 22.08.1 Platform: Fedora RPMs OS: Linux Status: REPORTED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: andr...@stikonas.eu Reporter: h747es...@mozmail.com Target Milestone: --- SUMMARY When I enable both "Encrypt with LUKS" and permissions for "Everyone" the partition is unmountable and after reboot the "Everyone" permissions are not applied. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Plug in a usb drive (or create a virtual one with libvirt or similar) 2. Create new btrfs partition with LUKS and permissions set to "Everyone" 3. Reboot (because the partition is unmountable, more on that at the end) 4. Mount the partition (using the disks and devices applet within plasma) and look at the permissions set for the mount folder OBSERVED RESULT Permissions are "drwxr-xr-x" EXPECTED RESULT Permissions are "drwxrwxrwx" (as they are without LUKS) SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux: Fedora 37 beta (I am also able to reproduce this on rawhide in a VM) KDE Plasma Version: 5.25.5 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.98.0 Qt Version: 5.15.6 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION running "reboot" after step 2 throws (I have waited for 10 minutes and this never finishes, so i reboot with "systemctl reboot -i"): Operation inhibited by "Disk Manager" (PID 1406 "udisksd", user root), reason is "Cleaning Up". Please retry operation after closing inhibitors and logging out other users. Alternatively, ignore inhibitors and users with 'systemctl reboot -i'. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
