Same error here. Edit a existing openVPN-Connection crashes the
kde-nm-connection-editor 100%. Same if I try to create a new openVPN
Connection. 

It seems that it is possible to add a new openVPN connection via import a
*.ovpn config file.

It is possible to add or modify an other type of VPN-Connection (e.g.
cisco-vpn)
