I've tried it two or three times and I can no longer replicate it.

I still have all kinds of multi-screen problems, but this specific one seems to
be resolved

This area has changed a lot in recent plasma. 

Can you confirm if this happens with 5.8.5 or ideally even Plasma 5.9.
