Is there a reason why a notification pop-up can't temporarily accept focus when
text is selected? Pretty much the only reason for a user to do this would be
for the purpose of copy-pasting it somewhere, so it's

Correct, they don't accept focus, so it can't be done. It should probably at
least support the selection clipboard for middle click paste.
