No, I don't use tap to click.
But again, these are all libinput issues. The driver handles these behaviors,
not us in KDE.

Nate, do you have enabled "tap to click"?
Only a touch "click" while typing can select text which will be overwritten by
accident on further typing.

I have enabled the touchpad option to "Disable while typing" and it doesn't
work at all on Wayland.
As a test I opened Kate and started typing a sequence of keybord keys while
doing some touching over

There is nothing we can do about this in KDE. The code for touchpad disablement
while typing is all upstream of us in the libinput library. You would have to
