            Bug ID: 437278
Summary: Rebindable keys for global menu
           Product: plasmashell
           Version: 5.21.5
          Platform: Other
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: wishlist
          Priority: NOR
         Component: Global Menu
          Assignee: k...@privat.broulik.de
          Reporter: hiph...@posteo.de
                CC: mvourla...@gmail.com, plasma-b...@kde.org
  Target Milestone: 1.0

SUMMARY
I would like to be able to rebind the keys for navigating through the global
menu. In particular I want to use vi-style keys instead of arrow keys for
easier accessibility. The widget already allows users to set up a global
keyboard shortcut to activate the menu, so one could add the remaining keyboard
mappings there as well.

If this is not particularly hard to do I would like to give it a shot myself. I
do know C++ and I should be able to pick up on QML if someone can point me
towards where I need start digging in the widget code.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Linux/KDE Plasma: Void Linux
KDE Plasma Version: 5.21.5
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.81.0
Qt Version: 5.15.18_1
