[rsibreak] [Bug 377274] Option to reset timer
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=377274 chris.tay...@cantab.net changed: What|Removed |Added CC||chris.tay...@cantab.net --- Comment #5 from chris.tay...@cantab.net --- Usage case for an reset timer option: 1. Timer settings set to "Break at fixed times" 2. Timers start but I am called away from my desk for some time 3. Return to my desk; the timers now mean nothing because they've been ticking away whilst I was away 4. Hit reset timers and continue working, taking breaks as per new schedule My previous workaround was to simply go into "Configure RSIBreak" and then hit OK, which would reset the timers. But I think that workaround has now been stopped (and probably rightly so!). So my new workarond is to go into "Configure RSIBreak", change the Tiny Break duration by 1 sec and it OK. This reset the timers. Please note that simply selecting "Suspend RSIBreak" from the menu when I am called away from my desk doesn't work, because then the timers just pick back up again where they left off. But that is not what is happening in the phsyical environment. If I've been called away from my desk, then that is a break in and of itself, so the timers should be fully reset upon return. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

I've been using this for the same purpose (pomodoro technique) and seeing a timer reset option would be very helpful -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[rsibreak] [Bug 377274] Option to reset timer
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=377274 --- Comment #2 from Dimitris Kardarakos--- TBH, I need this option so as rsibreak to serve a different purpose. I would like to use it as a pomodoro technique task timer. Thus, it would be convenient to have an easy way (shortcut, double click, context menu entry)? to reset timer when a new task starts. In any case, I totally understand that this application has not been designed as a pomodoro technique timer. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

Why do you need that? Can't you just press "ignore" when the popup appears? -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
