Or, if you like the Ubuntu core and can tolerate old non-KDE software, KDE Neon
user edition might be more to your liking/

Seems like files were left over from 5.24; probably more mis-packaging.
In general, if you want the latest Plasma version (or the latest version of
anything), Kubuntu isn't going to be the best distro for you. You

Sorry to add another comment so late, but I've decided to downgrade back to
5.22, but the before picture is still what shows when I open the users page. Do
you have any idea why this might be?

Oh, that was just the "Before" image.
Still, even with the after image, this suggests mis-packaging. I would still
recommend you get in contact with them.
