NVIDIA driver install advised by systemsetting and NVIDIA settings, with xorg.conf amended as indicated in my data and attached to you above it the 1440x900 resolution (according to manufacturer ASUS) but Systemsetting has 1024x768. By the instructions of the monitor, when you have (black screen) it is due to lack of signal returning this to 2-3 seconds. With another monitor (LG) was the same.
