I think that a way to keep it running with possibly notifications for new messages would be great. I prefer not to have too many apps in the taskbar. I think Tokodon can handle adding simple tray notifications. At the very least, something to simply move it away from taskbars and simply 'open'. As you are most likely aware, the vast majority of applications work with the system tray are fine. IMO it would be a nice feature to add, but if you're not interested, that's ok also.
