I can confirm Christoph's comment when using Kate 19.12.1 and I think that this issue is now solved. https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=412659 --- Comment #3 from Christoph Feck --- Here I get a non-windowed message asking "Close File", "Save As", and "Ignore". Was this recently improved for version 19.08? -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=412659 --- Comment #2 from Gregor Mi --- :-) There are tooltips on the buttons explaining things at bit more. But the buttons and the tooltips were apparently not written with the "Deleted" case in mind. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

I think we need a larger UX overhaul. I have no idea what any of the buttons on the bottom will do. Here are my approximate reactions to each of them: - Overwrite ("What's being overwritten? I thought the document was deleted!") - Reload ("How do you reload a document that's been deleted?") - Ignore Changes ("What does this do? Huh?") -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
