Hi,
Testing this again (Kdenlive 18.04.2, MLT 6.8.0KDE 5.47.0), I don't experience
the issue anymore: putting a clip on the timeline and adding one or many freeze
effects work fine.

One more detail: the freeze effect has 3 inputs: the freeze time and two check
boxes. The state of the check boxes is saved correctly when clicked, but
changing the freeze time is not changed.
