I've also tried deleting the cache and recreating the widget but still no luck.
It's the same situation as before, with some widgets sizes seems to work fine,
but for others it looks pixelated.

Can you try clearing icon cache? ~/.cache/plasma* ~/.cache/icon-cache.kcache
while plasmashell is not running.

Sadly nothing changed here. I updated openSUSE Tumbleweed with the new Plasma
Desktop 5.8 in my two computers, also tried creating the widget again, but
still looks pixelated.

No, i don't have it, that's the weirdest part. I thought the same thing, it
should happen everywhere but only happens in the quicklauncher. Also, it's
happening in two different desktops, so i don't think it's a conf

It uses normal IconItem for rendering the icon. Do you have the same issue also
in other parts of desktop (eg. in task manager or single launchers?)
