I get exactly the same with a Galaxy Tab S2 tablet. The trace in my .xsession
file is:

kde.kio-mtp: Slave started
kde.kio-mtp: new device, getting raw devices
Device 0 (VID=04e8 and PID=6860) is a Samsung Galaxy models (MTP).
kde.kio-mtp: No Error, continuing
kde.kio-mtp: Found device matching the Solid description
LIBMTP PANIC: Could not open session! (Return code 8195)
  Try to reset the device.
kioslave: ### CRASH ## protocol = mtp pid = 4565 signal = 11
kde.kio-mtp: Slave started
kde.kio-mtp: new device, getting raw devices
Device 0 (VID=04e8 and PID=6860) is a Samsung Galaxy models (MTP).
kde.kio-mtp: No Error, continuing
kde.kio-mtp: Found device matching the Solid description

I confirm this problem which is surprising as Samsung Phones are based on Linux
and we have no problem under windows7,8,10 OS.

Thanks to solve it as soon as possible.

UI desagree with the mention UNCONFIRMED
