Not sure after which update this stopped, but the crash doesn't seem to happen
anymore on current git. I think we can close this bug.
Display hot plugging still doesn't work, though:

Hmm, very interesting... I'm pretty sure that we make current opengl context
before reloading the background contrast effect. Can you run `qdbus
org.kde.KWin /KWin supportInformation` and post the output here?
