I see it recently (I switched to wayland recently) but had no idea why this happened. In the meantime, I also found this bug report and fix for SwayWM: https://github.com/swaywm/wlroots/issues/2594 . It seems there is a maximum number of screen casting requests a program can make. coredumpctl shows no record on the crash. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Login to a Wayland session 2.
