https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=467249 Nate Graham changed: What|Removed |Added Resolution|--- |DOWNSTREAM Status|REPORTED|NEEDSINFO --- Comment #8 from Nate Graham --- You'll need to go into the clipboard settings and disable the popup: System Tray > Clipboard > Configure > Action Menu > uncheck both checkboxes under "Show action popup menu". After you do so, does the issue go away? FWIW even with both checkboxes checked, I can't reproduce the issue with git master. I get one popup after I copy something, not a new popup per click. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[plasmashell] [Bug 467249] Unwanted popup on login - wayland only
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=467249 --- Comment #7 from rob.d...@telus.net --- Please open again. I can reproduce the problem at will. To invoke the issue, copy an URL ( http:// or file:/// ) into Klipper. For instance in your browser select the URL and right click on it. Select copy. A popup appears and it captures the mouse cursor. Everytime you move the cursor a copy of the menu is produced. The desktop is effectively useless now. To recover use ctl-alt-del and logout. Log in as root. For the previous user's account cd to .local/share/klipper and delete history2.lst. Logout and login in the user's account. Should be good now. Note: If you try rebooting to clear the problem the next login attempt will fail. The history must be cleared Note: If you have clipboard sharing between your desktops with kdeconnect you could break both. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[plasmashell] [Bug 467249] Unwanted popup on login - wayland only
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=467249 --- Comment #4 from rob.d...@telus.net --- I wasn't familiar with that at all. I see in the clipboard configuration menu something about actions for different applications. I have never touched that configuration. meta+ctrl+r or x does nothing except bring up the large spinning cursor that I usually get but touching the Home key. I think that is the only shortcut I have ever set. Sometimes in konsole you can lose track of the cursor and this will make it obvious. I notice that meta+ctrl without any additional key shows the large spinning cursor. I should clarify that I am talking about my main computer. The issue I was reporting pertained to my laptop. On the laptop the Home key shortcut is not cnfigured. On the laptop meta+ctrl+ anything does nothing. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.

[plasmashell] [Bug 467249] Unwanted popup on login - wayland only
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=467249 --- Comment #2 from rob.d...@telus.net --- Unfortunately the system was completely useless after the popup appeared. The popup somehow was latched to the mouse cursor. Any slight movement of the mouse created yet another instance of the popup. The fan was whirling furiously so I am sure the CPUs were maxed. I am curious about the popup. Do you recognize it from the description given above? How would one bring it up intentionally. I tried eliminating various plasm related rc files in ~/.config to see if the system would rebuild them and clear the problem. On that day nothing seemed to help and the problem remained. Today the problem is gone. I tried to reproduce my desktop layout as it was before to see if the problem came back. I am still curious about the popup and its purpose but it is probably best to close this issue. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
