Hi,
I've been thinking about looking into pushing Purpose as a framework. One
of its dependencies is KDeclarative, which means all of the things. In this
case KDeclarative is used for the i18n() integration.
I think this is especially bad because it raises the Qt Quick adoption
barrier quite a bit

Hi,
Soon Qt 5.6 will be released and with it, 2 quite widely used
frameworks will disappear: QtWebKit and QtScript. Also QtQuick 1, but
I think this is much less of a problem.
I'd say we need a plan to figure out what to do with these
dependencies. I don't think assuming that they will stay

I realized earlier last week that some of my applications were

Hi,
I've been looking in the last days what applications and uses make our
software stick to KDELibs4Support.
My impression is that the big missing thing is Solid/PowerManagement.
Is anyone looking into the issue? Should we look into un-deprecating it?

Hi,
I would like to move KCoreAddons qml plugin into KCoreAddons. Now it's
KDeclarative where we are dumping all QML plugins.
I think it's a good idea because:
- it simplifies usage the plugins for such frameworks (kcoreaddons is
not the only one).
- it ensures the code related to a feature is

Hi,
I've seen a couple of times such backtrace [1] which shows Qt waiting
for something that never happens. An easy way to reproduce is to load
konversation (or any application with KDBusService::Unique), hide it
and run it again. The exit call will never be fulfilled in the second
process.

Hi,
As assessed lately, one penalty we have when starting an application
is the icons look-up. It's not really Breeze's fault, the intersection
of the standard we're using and how we're using it makes the situation
slightly complex, hence simplifying it would improve the situation
already.
